Would love "Let Love In" on vinyl, have a few "Tender Prey", "Good Son" and "Murder Ballads"

You can't beat a bit of Cave

And not forgetting The Birthday Party too. Think I'm gonna put on

as the neighbours are out

If you like what you've heard so far and want more, go for the original pressings. I got them all a while back and I didn't pay more than £10 for any of them. They sound fantastic, especially Jim's vocals. I've heard that the 180g re-issues are terrible.

Yesterdays listening; from my "early Japanese period" plus a couple more albums that I cannot find photos of.

(Right cover but wrong title; should be "Hot! Menu")

I finished off with something a bit more local

How about

Bought this on a trip to Japan, I think they were quite surprised that anyone wanted it, I bought 2 copies

The last 2 albums I bought from the record fair at chrristmas. The Tull only has 7 tracks whereas the CD has 9 and one that's missing is Dogs in the Midwinter which I quite like.

Like some weird unearthly vision wearing only T-shirt,pants and skin.

One of my favourite albums, 40 years old this year and my original copy still plays and sound brilliant, and I love the cover.

That's a fantastic album!

Now playing: E.L.P "Brain Salad Surgery". Love the folding sleeve.

Wow, a real mixture of styles, 70's Glam, Low-Fi, Joy Division and Barry Manilow mixed together, etc...

French, believe he did the 'Amelie' soundtrack, this is mesmerizing

found this on Vinyl, double-album, great Hip-Hop!

Well not quite listening to them yet, but in anticipation of my new Rega Planar 3 Turntable I have obtained the following :-

8 Steely Dan Albums (Aja, Gaucho, Cant Buy a Thrill, Everything Must Go, Countdown to Ecstacy, The Royal Scam, Pretzel Logic and Greatest Hits) - £3.40 Total

The Doors "Best Of" - 1985 LP - £5.00

Pink Floyd "The Wall" - this is a 1979 Early Pressing

Isobel Capmbell "Milkwhite Sheets" - £5.71

The trouble is I could have spent hundreds and really need to reign myself in. I have seen Jimi Hendrix BBC Sessions 3 x 180g Brand New Sealed.......and I am really tempted 🙂

The Allman Brothers Eat A Peach. The album with probably the best inner sleeve ever.

I`d really like to get this album on vinyl. Keep meaning to so thanks for the reminder. Impressed your 40 year old copy still sounds so good!

On the back of listening to a Roxy Music documentary on Radio 2 last night, I thought I'd give this classic another airing...

39 years on, it still has the ability to astonish. Utterly unique, utterly unclassifiable.

Brilliant.

I never bought the first album for some reason but bought the next 3. I remember seeing Roxy in the late 70s with The Eurythmics as a support band, I have a feeling there was another band on first but I have no idea who, must be memory fade. The only other thing I remember is it was full of Bryan Ferry lookalikes, no memories of the show at all.
DIB I have a post for you I'll put in the what are you listening/watching section sometime. It'll get your memory working.
