Picked up a few discs yesterday from a record fair, but due to stylus problems not played any yet. However, as soon as that is sorted the first album I'm going to play is this one...

Never heard it before, but for £3.00 I thought it was well worth a punt to see how it compares to Focus.

.

Not my cup of tea at all. Late 70's jazz-funk shopping mall music, can't see me playing this one again.

Now this is more like it...

Phil collins - Face Value. There's definitely some duff songs on this album, but there are a few goodies, too. The recording can't be faulted though. It has a great 3D soundstage.

Santana 3rd album and Cravanserai
Led Zep 4th album my copy definitely needs replacing I've decided.
David Gilmour 1st album and Marillion Misplaced Childhood.
Dunno if I should say on here but I then played a CD as I had not got it on vinyl, only about the 3rd CD I've played since January.

floyd droid:1994 Columbia orig. The remastered is pretty good by all accounts. Bloody good album straight through bretts.

I got my 'Grace', this morning. I'm having my first listen now. I'm glad you convinced me to take a punt on the re-master, 'cos it's good. Really good. I have the Legacy re-master on CD, which is great, but this is showing up more detail. So much air around Jeff's voice. I'm listening to 'Lilac Wine' now and it's given me goosebumps up my arms. £23 is a lot for a record, but I think it's worth it.

Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Rogers, Pinetop Perkins, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, James Rush, Sunnyland Slim, Albert Collins, Luther Tucker, Jimmy Vaughan and Snooky Pryor.

Absolutely stonkingly good blues recorded live in 1985 at Antone's, Austin TX.

This is sounding so good.
