It seems my attempt at humour wasn't quite as funny as I thought it was.

It made me laugh!!

That's a relief. I thought it was just me that found it funny, and when you're the only one laughing and your own jokes, it's time to give up. :)

By the way, that is you isn't it Charlie, not your wife?

Well, tonight I've listened to. . .

Joan Armatrading, Nina Simone, Everything But The Girl and Jewel.

So I'm not so sure.

call the cops

The Grateful Dead-Blues For Allah.

Charlie and BBB:I've just realised this could be misconstrued as part of an ongoing joke. It isn't.

I laughed at your recent entries though.

Mrs.Charlie finds all of this rather amusing, too. She feels quite pleased to be a vicarious member of this forum and wholeheardly endorses the anti-Dylan sentiments. Thanks guys!

I'm actually having a rare social outing tomorrow night, so tonight's my only real opportunity to inflict the full force of Zim on my nearest and occasionally dearest.

So, as a reward for everyone's efforts over the last few days, here's my much-deliberated upon Friday playlist: so far,

Entroducing - DJ Shadow

The Spotlight Kid - Cpt.Beefheart

In Rainbows - Radiohead

Major Force - Mo Wax box/various

The Tennessee Fire - My Morning Jacket

Look, no Bob!!! I can do this. I can do this. I can do this.

A wonderful three hour window of listening has opened up before the booze kick-off, so it's:

Endtroducing - DJ Shadow

Again. A record made of vinyl and surely for vinyl. The CD has those replicated vinyl surface noises and clicks. So much more authentic on actual vinyl.

Tracks from the following. All very loud.

Shot Of Love - Bob

Electric - PSB

Wincing The Night Away - The Shins

5.15 - The Who

We Are Reasonable People comp.

Highway 61 Revisted - Bob

Physical Graffiti - Zep

I love this album. My brother has it on original vinyl. I used to listen to a recording of it from my teens until I gave up with compact cassettes. I recently purchased it on CD; the best option I could find.
