Having been a bit disillusioned of late regarding the quality and cost of decent 2nd hand vinyl, I've had a hiatus from vinyl in general. However recently I bought this LP for a decent price. Unfortunately the sellers idea of Exc/VGC does not correspond with mine, and it is a bit crackly in parts, though not to the extent that it's unlistenable. Ho-hum, that's vinyl I suppose.

Anyways, a pretty decent album.

Sunday morning trip to the tip done, so congratulating myself with a cup of tea and the excellent -
Marillion - Clutching At Straws

Steve Hackett - Genesis Revisted II

Beautifully packaged 4 x 180g LP & 2 x CD set. An expensive treat, but it just sounds so good.

After watching a documentary about movie music on BBC FOUR, I put on -

Chariots Of Fire - Vangelis

This then led me to -

The Best Of - Jon & Vangelis

Dukas - L'apprenti sorcier / La Peri (The sorcerer's apprentice)

Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra/David Zinman

Philips

Magical, in more than one sense ...

I might pick up chariots of fire, there are a few copies in the local oxfam shop for £2 is it worth a punt?

At £2 it's absolutely worth a punt, if only for the magnificent title track alone.

In Concert - John Renbourn/Stefan Grossman

Freewheelin Bob Dylan

The Bride Stripped Bare - Bryan Ferry

I gave the Gyro a run yesterday for the first time in about a year and a half. In fact, I hadn't listened to my CDP in that long either. Bad, I know. I had forgotten just how good the Gyro sounds, so it turned into bit of a listening session:
