What Surround Sound to get

looking for any advice please, I am wanting to get a decent surround sound set to go with my PS3 and SkyHD which I assume outputs good sound quality, 5.1 would be suffice, so assume I just need an Amp, Sub and the 2 fronts and 2 rears (please correct me if im wrong, bit of a novice) ideally for under £500, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Lee

That would only be 4.1, you need a centre channel speaker as well.

For that sort of budget you're looking at an all-in-one system.

As the_lhc rightly says, you're after a home cinema in a box (i.e., an all in one)

For under £500 my personal fave would be this Sony:

Plus this has the added benefit of adding a top notch Bu-ray player to your kit list (not that there's anything wrong with the PS3 as a Blu-ray player, but this Sony carries far more punch)

Helped a friend of mine set one of these up -he was looking to get into home cinema without breaking the bank.

Have to say, it doesn't sound like a £400 system. If I didn't know how much it was, I'd have thought it would cost more like £600-700.

Plus you've got £100 left over to spend on Blu-ray discs!
