hi everyone.

i'm not the greatest when i comes to choosing a great tv. i have a samsung ue40d6100 smart tv which has a excellent picture when in hd, but a pretty poor 3d picture. but a few months ago this tv starting making a loud horrible buzzing noise coming from the back of the tv. i've been told it's the power board and it needs replacing. it hasn't effected the picture quality or sound. but i have to turn the volume up to drown the buzzing noise out. so now i've decided to buy a new tv instead. so i looking for help to find the best tv i can buy for a price of about £500-£800 i'm not that bothered about 3d that much. but if it has 3d fine, but it has to be a great 3d picture. but the most important thing is superb picture quality when watching sky/virgin hd. and also great picture when playing ps3/ps4. so if anyone can help me get the best tv for again about £500-£800 0r at a push up to a £1000 if it was really worth it. then your help would be appreciated.

p.s it's my first post so hopefully i've not made mistakes.

thanks

Are you lot taking the P at this guys expense, his question was "what is the best TV I can buy for £800 max" and what do you lot show him ? LED rubbish, try showing him some plasmas like the budget Panasonic X60 (which will still beat anything you have suggested in terms of blacks, viewing angles, natural colours, motion) or the Panasonic ST60 if you want full HD and smart, these TV's are still available and get fantastic reviews they are well within his budget and would put the LED's pictures you have suggested to shame. :wall:

Plasma is old tech and is being discontinued and is not full hd anymore, if i was buying a tv now i certainly won't be looking at plasma.

Panasonic is the best, but not with gaming it isn't which the OP wants to do. It's his choice but I would be careful with regards to gaming. The input lag is slower than LEDs if he can handle that then the Panasonic would be the one I would choose.

I am not sure if the Panasonic 50ST60 is even available though, there doesn't seem to be any stock from what I can see.
