We are about to move into the new flat, living room is 10ft by 12ft with 15ft ceilings. How will the ceiling height affect the sound quality, and will my KEF 2005s cope? Hoping to upgrade to full size speakers this year, any recommendations as to what I can do to maximise sound quality on my 6.1 setup?

Previous living room similar size but will normal height ceilings!

Last year I moved into a flat with a 30' x 20' x 12' living room with a wood floor compared to a carpeted smaller room with normal height ceilings. The difference was drastic, obviously. The fact is though, you can accommodate your liking quite easily. Rugs, furniture, curtains, anything lumpy can help stop the echo you can get in larger rooms - there are also more expensive options like soundtraps and basstraps should you feel the need.

It's funny actually, I used to adore the sound my system gave me in my old place but looking back I consider it too warm. If you aren't keen on spending huge sums on sound treatment you may quite easily learn to love what you have.
