Airelle Besson - Radio one .

This is a very unusual album and it is quite hard to put a label on the overall style, but what I can say is that it's superb and totally captivating and the recording quality is stunning as is her voice which she uses as an instrument much of the time, she also plays trumpet and flugelhorn, a very talented lady indeed.

Give it a listen .

Vladimir Ashkenazy - A Personal Collection

Volume 1 (Bach / Beethoven)

Ashkenazy (pianist, conductor) has produced my favourite renditions of Rachmaninov's Piano Concertos. Anyway, here he is doing some Bach & Beethoven. Fantastic box set this.

Bach was made for Sunday mornings.

I'm quite a fan of them too. Gives my sub a good workout that's for sure! It's one of those albums where I enjoy the textures and sounds as much as the music itself.

If you like that kind of thing, check out Alphawezen - En Passant & Susanne Sundfor - Ten Love Songs.

I have been a fan of Susanne Sundfor for quite a while, I saw her live last year in London which was a moving experience literally. *shok*

Try this album from Elsiane called Mechanics of Emotion .

Thanks for the tip! Hopefully I'll have a chance to listen later today. My feet haven't touched the ground the last couple of days, but it's definitely on the To Do list...
