Bill Bruford and Andy Summers, both of whom have a love of jazz and both albums are superb. OK so it is not trad jazz, more prog jazz, but all the better for that IMO.

Kevin McDermott .. very underated artist IMHO

Oooo yeah. Introduced to him by a guy called Michael Visocchi from my home town whose family made great ice cream and who was in a band called PowderMonkey - one of the best band names ever (but I digress, as usual). I love Dealing in Silver.

Anyway, to answer the question...

Well he was an only child on his daddy's farm so now allowed to hide behind "wizardry"
 
Have been trying to update my cd collection, by trying to remember what vinyl records I had years ago. Just got three new cd's of old classic groups. In no particular order, Yes - close to the edge, Led Zepp 3 and an album from Free, can't remember the title, its in the car (post later). Now need to get some music by Wishbone Ash.
