All off Spotify whilst sat under the umbrella on our patio. Lovely way to spend a hot afternoon with some cool refreshment.

Hi Lost Angeles, I usually go back to the old roots at the weekend, so presently listening to................

Yesterday turned into a marathon listening session, especially since Tales From Topographic Oceans on Spotify has two extra tracks, adding another 41 minutes to the album.

Today is going to be a film soundtrack day. So first of all Craig Armstrong and UNKLE. If you have not heard of them or the albums you will have heard some of the music, if you watch Top Gear, as tracks are used for background music.

Later on will be something by Thomas Newman, can't decide which one yet (so it will probably be American Beauty) and the best sountrack in a while from The Dark Knight.

1) Neil Young Archives Vol.1

2) God Help The Girl - God Help The Girl (Stuart Murdoch & friends)

And awaiting imminent arrival of the new Wilco album, Wilco (The Album).

What a great year, so far, for music. Neil, PSB, Moz and The Dead Weather.

You're right about Blur. Boring doesn't cover it, for me. Damon is a terribly flat singer.

I love most of their studio albums: some great songs and some brilliant guitar work. But live, Damon's voice is a let down.

Yeah that does sound like a great way to spend a hot afternoon! Nice to see some Blackmore`s Night in your lineup. Don`t know how much of this bands material you`re familiar with but I can recommend `Shadow Of The Moon` and `Ghost Of A Rose`.

Camel “I Can See Your House From Here” I played this off vinyl last night I can honestly say I did not recognise a single track. I reckon I must have purchased this in 1979/80 so it obviously made a big impression on me in the 80s, Although I enjoyed listening to it last night.

Off Spotify Bad Company “Fame and Fortune” sounded more like Foreigner.

Survivor. I thought the Blackmore's Night album was ok but the same as the other stuff I've got. OK off Spotify or MP3 but I wouldn't buy it on LP or CD. I've got “Beyond the Sunset” and “Fires at Midnight”

Hi Lost. Actually the two you have are pretty good choices. "Beyond The Sunset" is a collection which covers a few albums and includes one brand new song called `In A Million Years` which I really like a lot. Played "Fires At Midnight" a few weeks back and thought it was a little patchy, played it again a few days later in the car on a long journey and really enjoyed it!
