1952 mono recording, beautifully produced by Walter Legge. An impossibly old fashioned performance but beautifully sung and played all the same. A wonderful document of Purcell intepretation before the 'authentic' performance movement, and I wouldn't be without it (alongside the rather more historically informed recording by William Christie).

Afraid it’s not for Lost Angeles. DIB I can honestly say that they managed to progress to outside my sphere of music and I don’t think I ever heard them or at least if I did I can’t remember. I was never really in to a lot of jazz type stuff.
