What are you listening to?

I have a bit of a confession to make......I have never been a big fan of female vocals. But, thanks to survivor I have been listening to the excellent Within Temptation and Sharon den Adel who is superb. So, based on Spotify bands you may like I tried Evanescence with Amy Lee, who is also excellent. I also like Duffy and Bjork, so thats OK isn't it?

What a wonderful recording the Elgar is. I've known this recording for years but tonight was like hearing it anew. Such tremendously emotive and communicative playing from du Pre, wonderful orchestral ensemble and fabulous sound. It is no wonder this has been such a popular recording over the years. Janet Baker is also hauntingly beautiful in the gorgeous 'Sea Pictures'. Just a fabulous CD.
