In 1977 no one told the delightfully named German band Grobschnitt that punk had made prog the uncoolest music in the world. Self indulgent, etherial, highly musical, concept albums with Roger Dean gatefold artwork, what were they thinking of? If you like Yes and or Genesis, try 'Rockpommels Land'..........

From Thailand, the band are called Kluay Thai, the album is 'Sib Song Sat' and the music is enthusiastic, US influenced, metal. It is sung in Thai with the appropriate metal gravel roars thrown in and it is genuinely very good..........

I havent listened to this for a while and it has grown on me even more. Norway's Jarga Jazzist at their most eclectic and now one of my all time favourite albums.
