What Amp and speakers set up is good with Music and also home cinema

Need some advice from you guys. I have quite a high end hifi (naim) but am finding that with kids movie watching is becoming the norm rather than listening to some music. So am contemplating getting rid of my much loved hifi and replacing it with a dedicated home cinema set up. Are their any recommendations as to what is available ? Budget is probably £6k for the AV and speakers ? I normally demo stuff but i haven't even got a clue what to ask for. On another note, i'm not looking for high end hif quality, but something that does a very good job with music as well as cinema.

I would imagine the new arcam avr-600 with a MA GS or B&W 8 series package would be awesome for both music and AV.

My two penneth would be to allow for at least one decent sub in your budget.

Thanks just been looking at the arcam AVR-600, my hifi dealer was also raving about it

Alternatively, you can buy an AV amp with pre-outs which will allow you to keep your hifi setup for music.
