Drop the attitude AL. The products are good and always have been. The attitudes on both sides have been factors and fractious at times. There's no angels in any of this, me included.
There has to be balance and respect however, but that applies to anyone.
Times change.
I agree.
Fighting on forums, or between forums, with religous fervour over what is supposed to be a hobby, is silly at best.
True, when the red mist descends, words can be spoken that one can later wish had been left unsaid, and many of us are not angels in this regard.
AVI have always made an excellent product, and one that generallly provides excellent value for the dollar in the market place.
Attacking people over their HiFi philosophy viewpoints, in the greater scheme of life and the true evils that can befall one, seems churlish and rather pointless at the end of the day.
I understand it, and would describe myself as someone who does calm rather well, but I have been 'guilty' of getting railed up when I was a member of AVI forums, and reading of some of the attacks being made here, on AVI members.
And yet conversely, when I joined here, I also railed at some of the attacks being made by AVI members, on the membership and moderators of THIS forum - which resulted in some seeing me as being two-faced and got me a ban from AVI forums.
At the end of the day, this should be about the hobby and not about personalities IMV
Perhaps if we all took a deep breath before we posted, and thought more about the consequences of our words, life would be easier on these forums, and these forum and inter forum 'wars' would cease to exist.
I hope so
As Record Spot points out, times change, and it's time IMV that all parties extend an olive branch or two, and resumed normal polite and respectful dialogue.
After all, shouldn't we all be online friends, sharing an interest in music, film, and the kit that makes it happen for us in the home?
Best Regards
