Warranty for Replacement Receiver

I had a Denon 4308 receiver that was sent for a warranty repair that was badly damaged by the courier. Denon have agreed to replace it with a Graded 4308A which i am happy with but they have told me that the warranty will carry on from the old receiver, so i have about 8 months left.

I cant help but think they should have given a 2 year warranty as it was not my fault it was damaged and they have left me without the receiver for just over a month.

Well, they might be persuaded to backdate the warranty to when the problem arose, but any claim for further extension should presumably be taken up with the couriers responsible for the damage.

Sounds pretty normal from experience.

You could try sweet talking them into extending it, might work, you never know.
