Are they for real?

I can't find much about the manufacturer. Although I have read on another forum that some of the stuff under that brand is possibly fake. Anyone care to comment/add any useful information?

Cheers

Maybe our Dutch friends have heard of either AV123 or W&M Audio...

I'm Dutch and I have to confess I don't know AV123, and only know W&M Audio by name, not by reputation.

The cables do look pretty good though. Not that that's saying about the sound.

Never heard the W&M cables, I'm afraid.

I googled AV123. On google maps the company seems to be situated in a neighbourhood. (maybe it's a small, specialised company)

Update: just read a thread on a dutch Home theater forum and I've read nothing but rave reviews. Apparently the cables do have a more 'up-front' sound signature which may or may not be to anyones liking.

Cheers Jan.

I trawled their website but there's not a lot of info in English there unfortunately...

If and when I get some money to play with I'm toying with the idea of trying out their AC-01 interconnect.

The interconnect between my cd player and amp is the first to go and after hearing the difference between my Supra Dual RCA and a Oehlbach NF214 from a friend I know I can do a lot better, I'm just very keen to learn how these cables sound.

I have 2 sets of the interconnects. Started out with CA standard with Kit, then bought Chord Crimson. Didnt really notice any improvement and was slightly disapointed. After a short while noticed a hum when using the turntable. Switched back to CA and Hum gone.

Started looking on ebay for alternatives to try (cheaply) and came across W & M put bid in and won around £35. Used on TT and no hum and for the first time a improvement in sound. Was so impressed 'won' some more (£38 I think) and used with CD - again quite an improvement over the Chord and CA.

So in my limited experiance I would say worth it at below £50 if you can. One thing they are quite stiff/unflexable - took a while to settle without moving phono stage.

Oh and they come in a lovely box thats got to be worth £30 at least!!

Thanks Gwindy for sharing your user feedback.

In the end I did not bid on the RCA i/c y'day. Went for only £20 with just one bid. I'll keep the look out now...
