Upscaling of SD programmes

Hello all, Last week I thought I had finally sorted that I was about to buy a Yamaha DSP AX863SE however now I find out that it will not scale up via HDMI which is how I will be connecting my V+ box . Also it doesnt appear to have a tuner? is this correct? Does anyone know if it scales up from componant? That way I could connect up with componant and optical for audio. If not any other suggestion for a reciever in the £400 - £600 bracket. Not really fancying Onkyo as I have read too many issues reference buzzing noise in background when inputting PS3.

You will definitely be able to upscale the component connection to the V+ box and the amp definitely doesn't have a tuner (use your V+ for radio?).

Thankyou for the response. Tuner would be advantage not really necessary, as separate hifi gear i other room. Looking forwards to ordering my new reciever.
