Upgrading from a Well Tempered Simplex 2

I have a Well Tempered Simplex 2 turntable, which is a superb piece of kit and have no need, if I am honest to upgrade or change.

However, finances are allowing me to go up a level or two in terms of price and sound.

Has anyone hear ever changed from any of the Well Tempered decks and what did you choose?

Also, do readers here keep their old decks/alternate them, or do you sell them, only having one at a time.

I’ve very rarely seen Well Tempered turntables mentioned here. They don’t seem to have enjoyed the importer promotion they probably deserve, and distribution seems to have been sporadic.

Coincidentally, I had the pleasure of hearing one last weekend at the Wigwam Show in Stoke on Trent. I don’t know the exact model but it had an all-black plinth and the very pendulous looking unipivot arm, sounding terrific.
