Unreliable airfoil

Hello all. I recently bought airfoil to stream music from my PC to an airport express then onto my hifi. It worked fine three or four times but now refuses to hijack Windows Media Player or Spotify. GGRRRRRR. I've run through all the options, no joy.

The only thing I can think is it is a firewall setting(I use Zonealarm security suite subscription) as the Zonealarm Force Field keeps getting listed on the applications list which seems to show most recently used programs. Do I need to set this up in some way, or does airfoil have nothing to do with firewall settings? Any help much appreciated.

Very likely to be firewall settings yes. What happens if you turn it off (after disconnecting the internet connection into your router, if you're paranoid)?
