TV upgrade?

Hi all,

I currently own a philips 47 pfl9664, and i've been thinking about getting a new TV, and quite like the look of the sony 46hx 853. The question is would it be worthwhile?

I am only really bothered about 2D HD performance, as standard def tv is bit naff on any tv, and 3d and internet tele doesnt really interest me.

So do you think i would see a marked improvment on the sony over the philips picture wise?

Yes. Sony HX853 is the best LED lit LCD TV I've seen.
