The Shawshank Redemption on 4k - fantastic film, marvellous transfer.
I doubt the 4K release will look any better than the Bluray, given the way it was shot. It's intentionally low-res, so short of 'AI'ing the crap out of it, I doubt we're going to see anything worthwhile.28 Years Later on 4k. Enjoyed it, and very much get the impression that Danny Boyle is having fun revisiting the works that made his name (T2 Trainspotting etc). Not sure about the ending, but I suspect that will only be able to be judged when part two is released. Hard not to be distracted by one particular part of the big 'infected'...
Really looking forward to the 4k release of 28 Days Later though. The blu ray's nothing to shout about, so I'm hoping for something good.
Looks great in 4K. Great scene where Michael is slowly lit up in the shadows behind Laurie. Important film for the genre. Only found out recently that the whole intro scene was quickly filmed after they'd finished,Halloween on Halloween night (4k). Didn't care for it much when I was young, but it's definitely grown on me.
Had this on 4K disc too and recently sold it to CEX and got quite a bit for it. I liked it though. 👍The Shawshank Redemption on 4k - fantastic film, marvellous transfer.
