There was something magical about the NAD. Those jelly mould buttons, the special livery, so unique. As a kid, I always wanted to own one but ended up with inferior stuff because that was all I could afford growing up. 🙂

My friend had one and I had a Trio. Could never get into the NAD, always sounded too laid back to me. Sort of 'yeah there's some music being played somewhere but it's not really grabbing me'. Had that thing about being 'the one to get' but never saw (or heard) why, those cool 'monolith from 2001' looks aside.

Chaque a son gout I suppose.
