I just sent that article to a mate that originally bought his 3020 sometime after I got mine.

The photos made him comment that it looked fairly empty inside.
I told him that you can now pay 5 grand for some full width stuff - 80% full of fresh air.

My friend had one and I had a Trio. Could never get into the NAD, always sounded too laid back to me. Sort of 'yeah there's some music being played somewhere but it's not really grabbing me'. Had that thing about being 'the one to get' but never saw (or heard) why, those cool 'monolith from 2001' looks aside.

Chaque a son gout I suppose.
