I have a problem, the stylus will not make contact with the vinyl, there is about 10mm gap. It's the same when i return it back and clip it, i have to push arm down to clip it.

I have tried adjusing the weight at the back of arm, it makes no differance.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thanks

Sounds to me like your arm height has increased somehow. Did it ever play correctly?

The weight at the back is for cartridge balance and nothing to do with arm height, it will need to be rebalanced to give correct tracking force.

The fact it will not clip into its rest means height has to be adjusted down somehow but I am not familiar with this deck / arm.

A stuck arm-lift, perhaps, so not allowing the arm to drop fully so the stylus contacts the record?

ditto +1. On both images the arm-lift looks too high.

+2. The tonearm is very clearly resting on the arm-lift. If the heigh of the arm-lift is adjustable, it's been screwed-up too high and needs lowering, if it's not, it's got stuck or is otherwise out of position.
