Tannoy V4 vs. MA BX5

I notice in the awards section the V4s seem to have won best floorstander at a certain price range, I forget which. I had originally had my eye on some BX5s, though this has made me think. The V4s are currently £300 in RS, and I'm basically thinking about whether or not WHF do a sound per pound review or literally just the sound of any speaker in said price range. I'm currently using a PM6003 amp, to be upgraded in the future. I listen to pretty much everything really.

Just wondering if anyone knew which method it was they used, I suspect the former, though confirmation would be lovely.

I haven't heard the Tannoy so I can't comment on that. I have heard the BX5 with a Marantz PM6004 amp and they sound very, very good. Can't go wrong with them.

You could also take a listen to the Elac FS 67.2 speakers. Great sound and the same price as the BX5.

Where was it you'd seem the Elacs for £500?

I live in Holland and the Elac FS 67.2 costs 700 euro. The BX5 650 euro.
