Just in the process of completing an extension to the house which will mean I have the choice of how to re-arrange my audio components. It will be unavoidable that I have about 5m of speaker cable per channel.

Has anyone seen any discussion/reviews on whether it is better to have the main runs of speaker cables North/South, i.e. in line with the Earth's magnetic field or East/West across it?
