surround sound and music

Im soon to be moving out which is great but this leads to all sorts of problems and I need your help for this one.

I want surround sound for the TV and i want to use the same system to to connect the lap top wirelessly so I can listen to music.

Are there any packages that can do this and are there any that someone could recommend?

Well an airport express will take the feed from your laptop (add airfoil if iTunes is not your music client of choice) into a digital in on the receiver. So the question is simply one of receiver and speakers.

Which I'm no good on really.
