Hello,

Can any-one tell me why cinema in a box starts ridiculously cheap, but if you buy an amp and speakers separately works out a lot dearer. I don't need a DVD recorder, player as I have them but I'm considering buying cinema in a box and giving away my old DVD player.

I would like a surround sound for my living room and wan't 5.1 with wireless rear speakers and amp for up to £400 and I need it with a SKY+ connection but this doesn't seem possible judging by the items on review.

Many thanks to all

Basically it comes down to the quality of the components, all-in-ones tend to be made of plastic and use cheap electronics, drivers, power supplies etc. Obviously a separate AV receiver has more inputs etc. which is also why they're larger as there is more inside them.
