I'm very new to AV and just in the process of buying my 1st house (which I am very fortunate is deatched so I can crank the volume!)

So far, I have...

Sony STRDH800 still in the box with a Sony BDp S360

KEF 35.2 floor standers to bi-amp as fronts with QED cables

Mission 77 Centre

Monitor audio bookshelfs (can't remember which ones and they're in storage) on Alphason stands.

The floor is apparently a wooden suspension construction so should be solid but will also possibly act as a bit of a cabinet.

I was thinking of running without a sub for a bit however after reading some of the threads on here, it looks beneficial to have one for films in particular. I have a budget to work to of about £200 and would require something fairly small.

So...

Has anyone got any experience of the Yamaha YSTF SW100? Or the Wharfedale Diamond SW150? Or would I be better going 2nd hand?

Cheers,

Tim

Thw Wharfedale SW150 is a great sub for the money, couldn't go for it because of the Kid, so I opted for the Powercube which is downfiring, which is also a pretty good sub in the price range.
