subwoofer connection

how do i connect my subwoofer to my hifi amp if my amp doesnt have subwoofer out and my subs already connected to my av amp. can this be done?

You can connect to the subwoofer using cables to its high-level input from the Arcam's speaker outputs.

even if its still connected to my av amp via phono? ie can it be connected to both amps at same time so long as only 1 is turned on at a time? and can i use sp2 output on arcam so it doesnt affect speakers?

I have my sub set up in exactly the same way. Co-ax to my Onkyo, High level to the switched 'Sp 2' terminals on my Arcam.

Works perfectly well in both systems and has done without issue for over a year.

I'm careful to only have one source running the sub at a time, but even if I didn't, I think my sub gives priority to the low level connection, eliminating the 'clash of sources' problem.
