Stock power cords.

Are stock power cords usually unshielded? I want to buy a longer power cord and I'm going to just buy a cheapo cord ($3). I am going to get a 14 gauge cord, but it's not shielded. I would guess that that stock cord NAD uses is also unshielded. Anybody know? Thanks...

Oh, yeah, I'm talking about power cords for USA, not UK...

I've never seen a shielded stock power cord.

Thanks. Just wanted some reassurance. I'm buying the cord from an online electical supply company and they have many choices. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't replacing a shielded cord with an un-shielded cord.
