I was just wondering if anyone uses splitter and if so whether they can recommend a set - i want to use them with my dac to allow me to feed both my pre amp and headphone amp direct from source

is there any degredation in quality, strength of signal ect.

would it matter if i was using two diffrent sets of interconnects attached to them

i know when using splitters for example with tv ariels you end up with two poorer signals.

This should be fine as you are splitting into an amplifiers with high impedance inputs. QED and IXOS make Y splitters. I've never tried this though there should be enough current to carry enough signal to both amps, if not it'll sound quiet and when you turn it up it will begin to distort easily.

Dont be tempted to buy off ebay.......make sure you get a decent pair cos the ones I got were rubbish. Flimsy metal did not grip the socket. Best have a look at them to make sure they are OK. Careful with Maplins as well....some are OK others not.
