the record spot:322 strand. £5.49 for 10m, Digitalis Direct. Give it a whirl!

Hi the record spot

It might also be worth considering trying/using some 500 or 700 strand cables as i feel they are quite a bit better then the good 300 strand. These also tend to be very modestly priced.

JoelSim:I have Atlas Hyper 3.0, one of 5.5m and one of 4m, cost me £102. So I'm considering selling these on and using the money to fund the purchase of a much shorter set of better cables.

What are the sonic traits of the Hyper 3.0 Joel? When I upgrade my S.A Bi-wire, I'm thinking of the Hyper 2.0 (don't know if you've compared the 2.0 and the 3.0), but then I also fancy checking out the QED Revelation, both of which are around £15 a metre. The QED is white, which would suit our decor better (or it will do when we get round to decorating), but the Atlas Z plugs are BFA compatible, (Airlocs aren't), which means I don't have to spend out on banana to BFA adaptors & worry about another 'chain' in the link from amp to speaker.

The other advantage to the QED is knowing that I am very happy with the sound I currently have, and the pricier QED should have a similar sound, albeit with less of the weaknesses of the S.A. The Atlas on the other hand are an unknown entity.

Cheers.

(don't know if you've compared the 2.0 and the 3.0)

From what ive read, the 2.0 is more natural sounding, the 3.0 seems to highten treble
