And yet here I am with 100 drop outs yesterday. Numerous engineers can't find the fault. Everything's been repaired or replaced from box on the street to router (all electrical).

Obviously BT engineers don't know how their systems work, otherwise they'd be able to find the fault.

They absolutely do know how their systems work.

But what you describe sounds like it may be RFI related, and the source of that could be anywhere between the DSLAM and you.

Such a fault would usually result in an SFI (Special Faults Investigation) Engineer being requested who have the specialist knowledge, equipment and time to sniff out the sources of RFI.

I'd question why your ISP has let it go on for so long without escalating it/requesting an SFI visit from Openreach

That Pentacon plug may require soldering skills just above my capability/patience levels these days!
The cable mounted socket was worse!
I know what you mean.
When I was a 'boy' in his twenties, I always wondered why a co-worker in his seventies needed his bench light to be so close to his soldering work - when the workshop was already full of fluorescent light.
Now, as I approach his age....I understand why 😕

And, back then, the only fume extractors were our lungs.
Mind you, I'm still using leaded solder with no fume extraction - just try to avoid breathing it in 🤪

Looking at that supertweeter cable you really are going to have to reverse the cable judging by the directional arrow..... 🙂
The spade and banana plugs cables came the wrong way round. 😂
I guess I never know but not sure it really makes that much of a difference?
Those external ribbon tweeters compliment the Oberon 3s with an extra zest.
