I don't follow your thinking that by suggesting we don't know everything that is, or might be, possible is conspiritorial?

We do not know everything about our human condition, psyche, universe or the environment so stating that surely does not make it a conspiracy. I certainly have no ulterior intentions.

Now, where did I put that dynamite 😳 😉

Sorry wasn't suggesting you are a conspiracy theorist - just that's exactly how they are so pertinent to those who do believe them. We can't say Aliens don't exist, therefore those who wish them to be real are able to continue their belief.

You'd think that BT would be able to sort out the dropouts I've been having for over a year, but no one seems to be able to. If there's a definite fault, they'd be able to measure something and detect what it is. If electronics is so nailed down with regard to knowledge, why can't they fix it?

And when they're proven right (whatever the subject may be), they're no longer conspiracy theorists. Until that point, they're labelled as whackos. Why? Because the opposition cannot accept their viewpoint, so they're the ones in the wrong. Aliens most likely do exist, just not in the form that the movies depict. But until we can confirm their existence or non-existence, why aren't both sides called conspiracy theorists?

We can fly to the moon, make cars and trains that travel at 400+ km/h, have precise machines & robots working 24/7 in factories...

But an amplifier is complicated and engineers have trouble making something that measures flat and has the pretended power.

No, no I did not think that - just a (mostly) sensible difference of opinion.

Very true - of course there are different levels as with everything. There are those that think there just could be aliens and those that state it as fact, which we don't have any proof of. Unless you believe the ones that have been abducted by them of course?

And we also produced over specced, hugely expensive driverless cars/taxis - over one hundred of which suddenly ground to a complete stop, in live multi-lane traffic in China the other day. Technical hitch!

The only perfect amplifier is a straight wire with gain - we have not got there yet. In any case, we would only connect imperfect sources at one end and imperfect transducers at the other?

AI is machined algorithms, is it perfect?
Does it have a soul?
Does it possess the same quirky impulses as living beings?
AI is a great tool if used constructively and everything that is science has a facet, you ask, what has this got to do with the price of cheese?
Everything and nothing, measurements are just that, great tool but can it map out the human psyche? Maybe when we get to quantum physics...........Wha' da I know.....I know nuffink...but can offer you my warped opinion 🙂

We are back to cheese and tomato on toast now - so expensive these days though - Oh sorry I thought we were on that other thread - gonna go and lay down!

I'm sure if the world of science knew everything, man would be able to build the perfect loudspeaker that was undistinguishable from the live subject. And all other hi-fi would be the very best it can be from the first build. No more improvements to be made.

Absolutely (I actually hate that word - it is so over used)

But would they want to because it would then be pointless trying to market new improved versions?

Oh dammit, I now fancy toasted cheese and tomato, I haven't eaten since breakfast, I was in the garden most of the day, sucking up the leaves with my new blower sucker machine I got from Amazon....Ok cup of teee and toasted cheese and tomato coming up....🙂
