Soundbase needed

I need a soundbase for my Mum. Basically it has to sit under the Sky HD box, so I am looking for something that sort of size; around the 30cm mark, or 12'' if you haven't gone metric. Input can be just about anything that a Sky HD box kicks out, Optical, Co-axial, Phono, 3.5mm or HDMI with a corresponding output.

Is there anything? I can't find anything less than 44cm at the moment.

Many thanks.

I've never seen a soundbase that narrow, though I guess there might be one somewhere, but it would be an unusual tv stand that balanced on it. I wonder if you could use a single speaker like the Audio Pro I use for tv duties via optical in our cottage - where it sits on a small table in front of the tv unit. It's 31cm wide.

Many thanks for that suggestion and I did look at the Geneva Model M, which is very similar.

The TV is a 19'' LCD, which sits on the Sky HD box. Basically there's no room left for anything else, so I am looking for something to fit under the Sky HD box.

The smallest soundbase I'm aware of is a Panasonic which is 46cm wide.

My bedroom TV is connected to Audioengine 2 speakers which are laid on their sides underneath the TV below a TV riser. Their replacement is Audioengine A2+ which are 15cm tall each, making it perfect for your needs. If you lay them on their side next to each other, it's 30cm.

Many thanks for that BB. Out of curiosity, when lying down, should the woofers be in the middle, the tweeters in the middle or doesn't it matter? I think it is a case of building a wooden stand with the speakers underneath and the Sky HD box on top.
