I'm looking to buy some home cinema speakers. I'm not looking for a whole home cinema 'package' as such since I don't need a blueray player or anything like that because i only really watch films that I have downloaded online either through my sky box, Apple TV, smart tv, etc, and don't really own any 'physical' media. I basically want rich sound coming from speakers placed round my living room when I watch HD TV, movies and (if possible) play games consoles. I'd like it to be surround sound, but I'm not 100% on the technicalities involved in that... (5.1/AC3..? All new to me!)

I've been looking at these... http://www.amazon.co.uk/OneConcept-Surround-Speaker-Channels-Subwoofer/dp/B004DOYMQ2

Seems like a good price and has great reviews, but is that what I'm looking for? Will it do the job?

I've taken photos of the outputs on the back of my TV (samsung ue40f6200ak)...

From what I understand... Those speakers will plug into my TV but will only operate in 2.1 mode since it does not have the appropriate output for 5.1 (apologies if I'm getting this all wrong!). If that's true, is there anything I can buy to make my TV compatible with 5.1?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Edit: just been looking at my TV stats online and it apparently has 'DTS Premium Audio 5.1'..

Also the input for 5.1 sound on those particular speakers is apparently RCA, my TV has that doesn't it? Or will I need one of these... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Digital-Optical-Coaxial-Toslink-Converter/dp/B0074JZ8ZW ?

To get 5.1 sound out of your TV you would need to use the optical out or an HDMI output connected to an amp that supports ARC (HDMI 1.4 Audio Return Channel)
