Sony SRS-XB10 speaker won't pair

We have an older Sony SRS-XB10 speaker that has sat unused in an office for quite a while. I suggested my partner to take it home so we can start using it again around the house.

I have fully charged it but after following the instructions I can't get the speaker to pair with any of our bluetooth devices. I've tried to reset the speaker etc. I tried every troubleshooting option in the manual. Time to give up or does anyone have a golden idea how to get the speaker to work again?

• Once the speaker is initialized, an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch may not be able to connect to the speaker. In this case, delete pairing information on the iPhone/iPad/iPod touch then pair them again.

Tried all that. Still not pairing. Not even with devices it has never paired with before.
