SONY KDL40W4500 BLURRED PICTURE

I have recently purchased the above tv based on the reviews and accolades in the WHF magazine. I previously owned the Panasonic TX32LXD700, which had a superb picture but started to suffer from back-light bleeding. The replacement Sony, again has good picture quality in most circumstances but suffers from blurring images, especially in close-up scenes and fast moving ones. I didn't notice any of these issues in the panasonic and wondered if I have the settings wrong or whether there may be an issue with this model?

How far are you from the TV?? Is this the same as your previous TV??

Yes its the same distance as the old tv, but it is still just about in the guidelines for a 40 inch tv. I can't make out whether the motionflow function and film modes make it better or worse!
