sony KDL-40EX703 LED poor picture

Can anyone help please? the picture on my 40EX703 seems to have a slight shadow or darkening around the side edges and another one at the top. It's not blatantly obvious but I can see it. Having laid out a grand on the TV I'm a bit disappointed. Is this normal for LED's or do I have a duff?

can you see this while an image is displayed on the screen ? or only when the tv is on , but displaying no image , a blank screen ?

its unusual to see darker areas ..

clouding / backlight bleed problems normally appear as brighter areas , pools of light around the edges where the tvs lighting seeps through , if it isnt that , its probably faulty imo , and you should reject the tv ..

having said that , if it is clouding , thats a fault too imo , and you should still reject the tv ...

do that ,tell the seller its not fit for purpose , reject any proposals of an engineer looking at it .. get it changed or refunded ..
