Sony BDP-S360 - no resume play for blu ray?

I have just bought this blu ray player - am I right that the resume play option does not work for blu ray discs?

If i'm wrong, could someone point me in the right direction?

It tends to be the way the discs are authored. Some discs will resume play, some allow a save point and some you will have no chance with.

You would have thought the Bluray association would have got some sort of standard on this , but I'm afraid not.

So much for cutting edge tech.

Yes one of the most annoying is dark knight, which not only doesnt have a resume play function, but defaults to dolby digital soundtrack instead of whatever the higher audio track is, and it goes straight into the film...no menus!
