Sony 2400 displaying LPCM when playing Blue Ray DTS disc?

When playing a DVD with DTS soundtrack the receiver displays DTS, but with a Blue Ray disc with DTS sound LPCM is displayed. Is this normal?

When watching tv with normal 2 channel sound it also displays LPCM, so surely somethings wrong

Amp set to AFD auto, tried all others including all movie sounds and it's still the same. Perhaps I've got a faulty amp?

I'd check the BD audio setting, manual around about p45. Try setting it to 'direct' rather than 'mix'. Does this problem also hold with Dolby HD soundtracks as well as DTS-HD ones?

Thanks Andrew, it now works fine. even the Sony dealer came round and couldn't sort this, and I've just phoned Sony customer services and they said it was a problem in the software.

It just goes to show, ask the experts, thanks again.
