A few of my favourites...
Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the Dead (Dave Grohl)
Foo Fighters - Floaty (Dave Grohl again)
Pantera - Becomming, 5 Minutes Alone (Vinnie Paul)
Mastodon - Blood & Thunder, Sleeping Giant, Curl of the Burl (Brann Dailor)
How can anyone not have mentioned the almighty MESHUGGAH, the more I listen to Tomas Haake's work, especially on the last two albums Obzen and Koloss the further up my list of favourite drummers he creeps. Beautifully crafted, initially very challenging but suprisingly subtle and above all - incredibly powerful.
Tesseract - April & Concealing Fate part 2 Deception (Jamie Postones)
Tool - Danny Carey doesnt put a foot (or hand) wrong in this band
Van Halen - Hot For Teacher (Alex Van Halen) the intro needs to be played LOUD
Lamb of God - Laid to Rest, Now You've Got Something to Die For (Chris Adler)
Opeth - The Grand Conjuration (Martin Axenrot) The Drapery Falls (Martin Lopez)
