shared itunes account - pay once for apps

The whole family shares the one itunes account. Just downloaded the excellent copilot live to my iphone. And also to the wife's and son's at no extra cost.....

works with all apps and I think music as well.....

That actually is a very smart idea as long as you only have 5 or less computers.

Please tell how you share one account if I plug the wifes iphone in to my account it will not sync. Do you have to wipe it and factory reset then start from scratch

It's actually quite simple. Just create one account and configure it on each computer/user. An iTunes Store Account can be authorised on up to 5 machine. I did that with my Aunt. She wanted some Music Videos that I wanted so I used my account to purchase them (she didn't have an account at all) and we went 50-50 on the price and I authorised her computer with my account. Voila instand purchase sharing.
