SAMSUNG SCM 6700 TURNTABLE MECHANISM

Have a samsung scm 6700 hi fi. Tonearm does not start turntable. Removed turntable and noticed loose L shaped pin (picture attach). Does end of pin fit in hole of plastic part next to it? FRUSTRATED! colin

No idea but it certainly looks like it does. Try it and see, no harm trying
The rectangular plastic bit below pin appears to be a 'guide' and the pin has popped out of this and the hole

Follow things back from the motor switch.

It should be fairly easy to confirm what needs to be actuating that, as you move the arm.

FIXED. METAL CONTACTS BETWEEN MOTOR AND TONE ARM NEEDED CLEANED. BAD CONTACT
