Really hope someone can help. Am having audio lag problems and can't seem to find a way round it. My PS3 is my BR/SD source, connected to my TV via HDMI. If I connect from the PS3 to the amp via optical, I am getting a noticeable audio lag that is really off putting. It is true dolby digital, but the delay is too much
The only other option seems to be to route the sound via the HDMI to the TV, then optical from the TV to the amp, but that doesn't seem to be passing proper 5.1 digital through - it seems to be stereo only, which would then only be 'surround' if I go the pro logic route (which is pointless)
Does anyone have any suggestions? My receiver (an ageing Cambridge Audio 540R) doesn't have enough delay settings to combat this
