Personally I think this is going to depend on your ears only, and your budget of course.
I do not believe in the x speaker goes with y amplifier scenario. It is more like x speaker is suited to your listening room and can be adequately driven by y amplifier.
Having said that while I had my Kandy LIII amp I used Heybrook HB3's, B&W 685's, and EB Acoustics EB2's, all sounded splendid.
