Hi i just ordered some new speaker cable which is terminated at both ends i realised my Rel stampede sub was connected to my front speaker cables/banana plugs before via i think the Rel Neutrik Speakon cable will it make much difference if it is just connected via my Qed cable surely if its set up properly it will still integrate the same? Thanks.

Does the RCA cable and sub allow for stereo input? If not then you'll be amping the bass for one channel only. You probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

REL recommend using the hi-level input for their Quake sub, but this may be due to having only a single low level input.

The qed cable plugs in to a single lfe input the rel cable in to the hi i thought the idea was that as the hi plugs in with the front speaker cables it just takes more of the mid-low level duty? I could be way off but thought this was what i read when i got it so if its not plugged in id probably just need to set the levels again or am i completely wrong?

The sub has two separate ways to connect an amp. The high level (Speakon) and the low level (RCA, single in this case). One advantage of having two choices is that you can connect the high level to a stereo amp and the low to an AV amp providing two separate groups of settings.

Which to use? REL seem to recommend the high level Speakon for stereo use and the low-level for AV use. Why? I can't work it out other than the low level only having a single input making it suited to a single sub-output on an amp as opposed to stereo pre-outs.
