Rear Speaker Positioning

Hi,

Can anyone advise on the best place to locate my rear surround speakers for my 5.1 sub sat system?

Are they best at ceiling height angled down toward me or at ear level please?

Due to the size of my room the speakers are only slightly behind my seated position.

surround speakers do benefit from a bit of height,if your sofa is against the rear wall they are going on ,then up high and as far left and right as you can will work fine.
