rca to speaker wire terminals

hi there, i have been looking at a pioneer av reciever. The only problem is that the av reciever does not have the 6 rca inputs that the speaker system has, it has speaker wire connection terminals. Can i cut off the rca's that go into a reciever and use the speaker wire connections built into the back of the av reciever instead?

Probably not - sounds like the speaker system has its own amplification built in. Which receiver is it and which speaker system?
